Do you want to build a better connection with your community? Then Avondale Babysitters Club is for you. We welcome Gr.7/8 Avondale kids and Avondale graduates who want to do some babysitting work. To become an Avondale Babysitters Club member, follow these easy steps:

STEPS

1. Get certified for babysitting. If you are not certified yet, you can begin your babysitting experience as a volunteer babysitter-in-training while you wait for your babysitting course to begin.  Currently, our club does not certify babysitters. To get certified go to this website and register for the babysitting course.

2. Get a letter of recommendation from your Avondale teacher on TDSB letterhead that proves you are a student at either Avondale Elementary Public School or Avondale Alternative Elementary Public School or a recent graduate, and that you have good moral character.

3. Make the Babysitters Promise in person and submit your certificate and letter of recommendation to get added to our club roster for the next available job.

4. You must have a cell phone and share your contact information with the parents incase of an emergency.

With the cooperation of the school community, you should get a job helping to babysit fellow students shortly!
